About

Hi, I’m Dave Briggs—a long-distance bicycle traveler, blogger, and the person behind Cycling Everywhere.

About Dave & Cycling Everywhere

Over the years, I’ve pedaled through over 40 countries across six continents, embarking on epic journeys like cycling from England to South Africa, traversing the Americas from Alaska to Argentina, and exploring the diverse landscapes of Greece, where I’ve been based since 2015.

Cycling Everywhere is my latest adventure project: an open-ended quest to ride a bicycle in every country on Earth. The journey kicks off in June 2025, with a ride from Athens to Nordkapp, covering approximately 6,500 to 7,000 kilometers. From there, who knows? The road—and the world—is open.

This blog is a throwback to the classic travel journals, offering daily entries filled with the real experiences of life on the road: the highs, the lows, the tailwinds, and the headwinds. In an age dominated by polished content and AI-generated material, I’m committed to keeping it authentic—just one guy on a bike, sharing the journey as it unfolds.

You’ll find a mix of stories, photos, maps, and videos documenting the adventure. While I aim to update regularly, connectivity can be unpredictable, so expect occasional batch updates when Wi-Fi permits.

For more of my travel stories and past adventures, visit Dave’s Travel Pages, where I’ve chronicled previous tours and shared insights from the road.

Thanks for joining me on this journey – here’s to tailwinds all the way!
